Friends,
A new podcast episode is out! (Apple, Snipd, Spotify, RSS)
On the second episode of my new podcast, "Less Than One," I get deeply personal as I sit down with my good friend of over twenty years, Jason DeFilippo, to discuss a topic that's significantly shaped both of our lives: our relationship with alcohol.
Our friendship, like so many others, was built over countless pints and late-night conversations. Jason opens up about his harrowing experience - a near-fatal stroke directly linked to his long struggle with alcohol. He shares what hitting rock bottom felt like, detailing the frightening physical and mental aftermath, and how he worked to reclaim his life.
Inspired by Jason's journey and dealing with some health warnings of my own, I also share my decision to explore sobriety. We talk openly about the social anxiety and dependencies I've grappled with since childhood. Together, Jason and I unpack what alcoholism truly means, the complexities and insights of 12-step programs, and the unexpected freedom that comes from making amends and choosing to live one day at a time.
Ultimately, this conversation goes beyond simply quitting drinking; itβs about embrace change, getting older, the strength found in vulnerability, and the evolution of a lifelong friendship.

Hope you enjoy,
Congrats! I've been sober for 31 years by practicing the principals of the 12 steps. You should check out "The 12 Step Guide for Skeptics - Clearing Up Common Misconceptions of A Path To Sobriety" There's so much information out there! Hope this helps xo
Itβs inspiring to read about your willingness to embrace change. Day by day you are discovering the way to be present and to leave the illusion of the past and the future. The present is the only place you can feel joy.
